Qualifying starts in less than an hour...

What a winter! I can't wait for things to be settled on the track over the next two days.

So four front runners, McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull

Think the smart money would be on Vettel - but I personally think Lewis has the edge (yes fanboy)

lost interest in F1 over the last few years, but the return of Shoemaker should make this one of the best seasons in a long while

Is anyone thinking that these "cheaper, longer" units are killing off the pure competitiveness of the sport? Instead of flat out racing, the drivers are thinking about saving the engine, gearbox for the next 2/3 races, or the tyres for this race - they interviewed Kobayashi and he said both Saubers had to retire so they wouldn't incur a grid penalty for the next race. WTF? It's like Gordon Brown's "Prudence" rubbish all over

I think the no in race refueling is balls, it used to be so exciting seeing who had the best strategy for coming in and added something other than pure racing to the format, used to get proper tense watching it on TV and you know they only have x number of seconds to make the stop or they will loose position.

I think you're over-egging it somewhat. Seems the new regs have made the races much like a long distance running race. The first 3/4 are about staying in contention with the final part a sprint to the finish. I guess it means you can watch the first lap and then come back and watch the last 10 or so saving a good hour of mind numbing boredom.
