Had a great/good/indifferent/downright awful meal at a restaurant, then please add it in here and describe what you had, value for money, ambience and quality of the grub etc. (if you can get a pic of the place or nick the menu to show on here than all the bettter)
doesnt matter where it is, if you liked it or hated it, then tell us all.
please no b.k, maccydees, k.f.c or nandos.....cos contrary to popular opinion on here, these are not fine dining nor proper restaraunts.

to start the thread off, here is the 2009 top 50 places to eat in the world this year, anonced this week.
suprisingly 'the fat duck' retains its second place even after making hundreds of people viloently ill and having to shut for nearly a month.

went to pied de terre on charlotte street last night with the misses, was very good (what you would expect of a 2* restaurant) no pics unfortunately had sea bass tartar to start and john dory for main both were really good, and then lemon drizzle for pudding, also there was 3 rounds of dishes in between which were all stand out inc the small deserts before desert,a blood orange pannocota was fantastic and the chocolates to finish were great to.

all in good, not an everyday spot unless you are topper but great for a special occasion

A starter and main course for £60 is pretty decent imo

it is,bearing in mind there is a course before the starter of appetisers as well, tasting menu looked good but I think 10 courses would be wasted on me, after the 5 we had last night I was done

Pied a Terre is great, though not been there for a few years.

Was at Galvin la Chapelle last weekend for the second time & both times food has been excellent but service poor.Had a 9.30 reservation on Sat, didn't get our table till 10.30, maitre d' apologetic & gave us champagne but rushed through dinner.Won't be going back.

Can't recommend Zucca in Bermondsey Street enough though.Been there a few times recently.Food excellent, good service, great pricing.

hate all this dinner party, pseudo intellectual bollocks. last thing i'd want to do when going out for a meal is speak to a bunch of irritating strangers.
