Had a great/good/indifferent/downright awful meal at a restaurant, then please add it in here and describe what you had, value for money, ambience and quality of the grub etc. (if you can get a pic of the place or nick the menu to show on here than all the bettter)
doesnt matter where it is, if you liked it or hated it, then tell us all.
please no b.k, maccydees, k.f.c or nandos.....cos contrary to popular opinion on here, these are not fine dining nor proper restaraunts.

to start the thread off, here is the 2009 top 50 places to eat in the world this year, anonced this week.
suprisingly 'the fat duck' retains its second place even after making hundreds of people viloently ill and having to shut for nearly a month.

Yeah it's good, but better in the sunshine on the terrace.

its not a cool gaff, just a brilliant view.
its full of suits and secretaries.
pont de la tour is another under rated winner. my second fave after langans. *

* i havent got a blog, dont wear n.b's and am not interested in burgers, so my old fashioned tastes will not be for everyone.

L'entrecôte is great, they only do one thing steak and chips. Serve you the steak in two halves. Well worth a visit. It was no booking before no booking became the new NBs

Jokes little Italian, in a converted office where Mare St crosses the canal. Really friendly service, nice atmosphere, decent food.

nah it's been put together on a shoestring, hence the slightly unsuitable location, plus all the furniture is a bit wonky. I guess you could say charming? Not posh or expensive by any means, just a nice local with a good vibe.

old hat now I know but went to pitt cue tonight and din't think that much of it

had rib ends at the bar - very good
then pulled pork with pork ribs as extra, shared burnt end mash and chipotle coleslaw with my mate.
pulled pork was good, but not amazing
pork ribs were too dry, needed more glaze/sauce
burnt end mash was good
slaw was bit shit

at 36 quid each with 3 beers it wasn't bad value for the amount we had but didn't live up to the hype.
