Had a great/good/indifferent/downright awful meal at a restaurant, then please add it in here and describe what you had, value for money, ambience and quality of the grub etc. (if you can get a pic of the place or nick the menu to show on here than all the bettter)
doesnt matter where it is, if you liked it or hated it, then tell us all.
please no b.k, maccydees, k.f.c or nandos.....cos contrary to popular opinion on here, these are not fine dining nor proper restaraunts.

to start the thread off, here is the 2009 top 50 places to eat in the world this year, anonced this week.
suprisingly 'the fat duck' retains its second place even after making hundreds of people viloently ill and having to shut for nearly a month.

Haven't been to all of the places like some on here, but The Diner in soho is good.

If it's the Dante's Fried Chicken thing then make sure you go. He cooks up a serious feed, have had his chicken, mac & cheese etc a few times now and it's amazing.

Starters:
Black Eye Pea Hummus Endives
Andouille Cinnamon Corn Bread with Honey Butter
Shrimp with Smoked Cheese Grits

Mains:
Sock-It-To-Me-Chicken or
Warning-Tastes-Like-Chicken Tofu
On top of Coconut Spice Waffles served with Apricot Crack Glaze
With Cucumber Corn Ginger Salad & Crispy Leek Deviled Eggs

Dessert:
21MC Choco Cherry Pie

Will check hawksmoor at the weekend

Haha, that's the very reason why I hate Automat. The food average at best, but the staff were just atrocious. They slammed cutlery down on our table, took 45 minutes to make a milkshake, gave us the wrong bill and only realised this mistake after we had paid, to top it off they didn't even apologise for any of it.
