Last week we relaunched the FUSShop site...

http://FUSShop.co.uk

Let us know what you think. Good or bad.

If we get enough feedback, we might even throw in a Discount code for FUKers!!

Thanks...

Nice un-fussy site design (arf), always liked the product shots, so good to see that quality continue. There's a few brands that I'm sure won't go down particularly well here, but you can't please everyone all of the time.

Keep up the good work!

Not my kind of brands but website design is lovely. Simple, easy to navigate and product photography seems really good.
Some room for improvement:

- No option for full screen pics - just zoom in a small square box
- I'd use a slightly larger font - text is on the small side
- There's no fitting info or models wearing the clothes, so some more detailed product info would be good
- When you click on shipping information, it lists where you ship to / how long it takes, yet no rates are listed.

Yeah, product measurements would be really useful.

Site is clean and useable, just shame about the brands stocked.

I remember when you first launched in around 2005? And done your own limited tee's, hand numbered out of 20. They were the shit and i think you should do some more. I still have and wear the green clemson one.

Site is good though and easy to navigate, diederek suggestions are all great.

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but how do stores get out of that Carhartt and Pointer rut?

Why would they want to get out of Carhartt? Good quality basics IMO.

Size filtering would help the site.

Presumably they stock them because they sell well, with minimal markdown. In which case, the rut would be in people's tastes rather than the stores.

You've got to have stuff that pays the bills too. Spoke to the guys in Wellgosh plenty of times about why they still stock rails of lyle and scott, millions of slightly different vans, Penfield etc and it basically makes money which allows them to stock more exclusive stuff that doesn't fly off the shelves. They had Visvim for one season years ago, but no-one bought it so what was the point? Even now it's that stuff that allows them to stay open and get in other more risky brands such as diemme or the forthcoming human made drop. Even End still stocks some relatively mainstream/ highstreet brands and gear, yet they've got some of the most high end stuff in the UK for that scene.

I don't get the hate for Pointer, at worst they make pedestrian shoes like Clarks that are hardly inoffensive. The same for Cahartt too.

Even then it's hardly an overly commercial collection of brands. No G-Star etc.

Like of Penfield only get googled 300 times a day nationwide

Yeah I know it pays the bills and I don't have a problem with those brands at all. Just you see a lot of e-shops like that with little to distinguish them. How do they move onto the 'next' level?

I guess once you can land one higher end brand, that opens the doors for others "well, if the shops good enough to stock X, then it's good enough to stock us too". How they get that first higher end brand though, I don't know. But taking Fuss as an example, they now have reigning champ and tanner, they didn't before, so that's already a step up in terms of what they stock which should help them to secure more brands from a similar bracket which in turn will eventually allow them to get more exclusive stuff.

It also comes down to who you know, going back to Wellgosh again as an example, they've been able to get human made/ BBC/ Gourmet because their old buyer/ store manager is now partly responsible for the distribution of those brands in the UK (they're getting Bedwin in too through this link).

Like it - clean & simple and easy to navigate. Like the pics but but full screens would be better than zooms of a smaller pic.

RSS feed for the News would be handy.

Always liked the site and your blog section is worth a browse every month or so. Think you used to get a nice balance between stocking prints (such as Prefab 77 stuff)/mags/accessories and street wear but I presume the focus now is to concentrate on the clothing side of things. Good luck with it.
