hey, question, if i pay to get a golden jimmy, what happens when my year membership is up, do you just take the golden jimmy off me and ask me to apply for one again? in other words, is the £10 golden jimmy an automated £10 taken from your paypal accont every year? cheers |

Nova, just to fill you in - it all started last year when we needed a new server and one of our lovely regulars appealed for £10 donations. So we created a Golden Jimmy in honour of these great supporters. Jimmy came from a spontaneous post about chin rubbing - as in some one telling a porky pie - it's a very British thing, we used to do it in the playground when we suspected someone wasn't telling the truth. From that, a sort of Jimmy Hill photoshop informal competition started and people here have contributed some flippin amazing Jimmy pics. Anyone that is a Golden is allowed to pimp their shit (sell their stuff) in our Classifieds section, plus they can buy a Golden Jimmy o-tag (£20) which is turning into a bit of a cult thing in itself - as worn by Brandon Block on Celebrity Scissorhands, comic Mark Thomas and no.1 fashion photographer Chris Moore. There are also competitions which are exclusive to Golden Jimmys and we will be bringing in some more goodies for Goldens in the future. Bottom line is, being a Golden helps us keep fuk.co.uk independent and operational, it gives you kudos and special privileges. |
