About three of the things dotted about the room out of arms reach so you have to get up to turn them off usually does the trick.

actually i meant a sloth who needs a hearing aid.
laziness is one problem, but my gf simply does not wake up in the first place.

a phone call does it for me, if i'm forced to engage in converstation then i perk up whereas i can easily turn off any number of alarms without really waking up.

i was looking at these a couple of days ago, isn't it just the same as sleeping with the blinds open?

Yea but its dark when i get up, simiar effect though. If you face the alarm then the light is very bright, makes you squint even with your eyes shut. i always seems to sleep facing away, thats why i dont get woken.

seems like a soothing way to wake up (if i'm startled first thing i'm an arse for the rest of the day) but like you i can't guarantee that i'd wake up facing one way or the other. what do you reckon, put one on my christmas list?

They have a back up alarm that you can turn on or off, if that wakes you up atleast its light in your room and your eyes are adjusted to light already. Depends on how sesetive your eyes eye to light when you sleep. Years of sleeping with my blind open makes it easy for me to sleep when its light.

I got one of these for my brother's birthday (he's in the Army) and it's shite, not loud at all, just mildly annoying. so disappointed
