Owning this thread now - we have the gripes thread - this is just for good sellers and buyers.

Original thread post:

Right, everyone keeps saying this would be a good idea so let’s actually do it. I know we have the gripes thread but I’m not sure people bother to read through it before buying things on here. Here’s how I propose this works; make a post in this thread or PM me with your experience of sellers and your recent purchases. I’ll update this main post every two weeks with everyone who has been either positively or negatively rated. This main post will be split into two sections, good sellers and bad sellers in alphabetical order with how many ‘reps’ they have and who by. So get posting about your recent transactions (sellers as well) and hopefully we can stop the massive waits and people getting ripped off.

Bayyy shafted me big time, bad seller.

Can't really see the point of this though, if someone is mentioned in the gripes thread its your risk otherwise everyone else is good, no?

It's just an idea that has been mentioned a few times and it'd be good just to have a thread where you can check if the seller is any good or not. I know that pretty much everyone on here is generally good but you get the odd few and not just the usual suspects who cock it up.

This thread would get so messy and it'd be impossible to find out if a seller is good or bad after a few pages. If we did something like this there'd need to be a sub forum of classifieds solely for buying & selling feedback. Each person would start their own thread called "(fuk member's) feedback" and then the buyer/seller could post in that after they'd bought or sold something to that person.

just put a list of bad sellers in the first post of the gripes thread and make it a sticky, simple

Not if Owlix keeps the list updated in the main post up top... would be a lot quicker and easier to reference.

Or do as Schtoop suggested get the mods to make sure the bad seller list is updated.

I'd keep it updated on the main post, which as Walnuts said would make it a lot quicker and easier to find anyone.

^ how though? If somebody writes 2 or 3 lines about a seller and then 5 other people do the same and then everybody else does the same for everybody else how messy is it gonna get and how will it work if they tell you they got the stuff but delivery was really slow. Is that a good rep or a bad rep? Or are you just gonna have the person's name and then the words Good or Bad?

Like schtoop says, just get Brad to sticky the classifieds gripes thread so it can be seen by everybody as soon as they open the classifieds section

Most people aren't like mrbigstuff so the gripes thread is actually all we need

It'd work a rep with a comment. If someone just says it was good or bad then that's simple, but if someone makes a comment then obviously it'd be noted.

I can see clearly that people aren't into the idea so its probably not worth persuing.

I dunno i think its doable if you wanna take it on.....
so something like a rating for the item itself (as described et al)
if its fine add 1 point, or not minus 1 point
same with P&P
maybe have a couple of criteria like if its taken over 2 weeks to arrive then automatic -1

So for instance i just had very positive experiences buying from Himmr63, Toasted and Kilgore Trout
so they'd all get +1 for both item and P&P
If everyone just posts their feedback up in here and it gets regularly updated in the top post i can see it working

Rural Item +5 P&P +5
Phikz Item +2 P&P +2
MBS Item -3 P&P -29
etc etc

Also maybe have some kinda Ban criteria regarding repeat offenders
just my thoughts anyway

Or Brad just makes a feedback section where we can each get our own dedicated threads for feedback to be left.

Well ideally yes. It just wont happen though will it, being realistic!
Wasn't the whole site going to have a massive visual overhaul a while back?! and what about the fabled GJ only thread?
nothing happens fast as far as FUK is concerned (no offense to Brad as i realize he has other concerns)

Let's face it, problems like this are few and far between - I'd guess that 95% (at least) of sales on here go on without issue?

There's not really much point in listing the good sellers / buyers and not the bad ones when the vast majority of people on here are good.
