basically a ebay tool site with other features that ebay lacks. just in beta mode at the moment but looks good so far.

you can search misspellings (find bargains from numptys who cant spell playstation or samsung etc)

sort by total price, when your looking for the cheapest thing on ebay its usually a pain in the arse coz all these HK sellers have 99p items with £10 postage etc so when you search ebay you dont get a true match for lowest priced items.

also can search for all the negatives recieved in a sellers feedback. so if someones got 1000 feedback with say 10 negs it could take ages to look thru pages of feedback, with this you'll click a button and it will just show you the negs etc so you can spot fake sellers n stuff.

have a look www.goofbay.co.uk its pretty good

*UPDATE*

Quote:

eBay recently asked us to remove a large number of our tools, we held strong and hoped that they would see Goofbay as a site designed to help buyers and sellers have a safe eBay experience. Unfortunately, they did not see it this way and have forced our hand. These tools have now had to be removed. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.

they werent happy we were exposing dodgey sellers by showing private feedback, highlighting shill bidders and showing trends in negative feedback by sorting it into negs and neutrals

says it all really

(ps. you can sign a petition to try and get these tools back at www.goofbay.co.uk/tools )

*UPDATE*

we've added a new section/tool to Goofbay. Its quite addictive if your a bargain hunter. it basically lists bargains that are ending soon with no bids etc. You can also set a specific time and search by categories (this is the best way to find bargains) for example you could browse for mens clothes that are ending between 11pm - 6am 2nite (where everyones in bed so not many bids).

One of the things you can do that you cant do on ebay is limit the max postage so filter out auctions with high postage too. Anyway take a look and let me know what you think: http://www.goofbay.com/ebay_bargains.html

ps. also looking at a new tool where you can get the average selling price of an item. so if your thinking of selling something you can enter the details and attributes and it will tell you the average selling price (which may help you decide if you want to sell it or not on ebay).

thats coz its searching for miss-spellings so finding the word Son, not many people are gonna spell sony wrong to be fair.

try it with playstation or samsung or even camcorder and you'll see how it works.

or if you want correct spellings of sony tick exact match

basically a ebay tool site with other features that ebay lacks. just in beta mode at the moment so any tools that you cant get from ebay that you think would be good on the site let me know.

making it so you can search misspellings (find bargains from numptys who cant spell playstation or samsung etc)

sort by total price, when your looking for the cheapest thing on ebay its usually a pain in the arse coz all these HK sellers have 99p items with £10 postage etc so when you search ebay you dont get a true match for lowest priced items.

basically its just gonna be a massive ebay resource which will have the answers to all those ebay questions that come up on here all the time.

if you can think of any features you think it should have please share your ideas and i'll see what i can do.

in the meantime have a look www.goofbay.co.uk

if you type "huarache" in for nike huarache it gives you the listings were people have goofed and put "hurache".

the idea is that most people would miss such a listing and you could win that item cheaply.

The negative finding thing is cool, but everything else has already been done...

The concept of jacking Google is cool... However the name sounds really childish LOL...

what it does so far is find items that people have spelt wrong, so if you go there and type in SAMSUNG you'll find mobile phones etc that people have spelt samsun and samung and shit like that. so basically you can find loadsa bargains as these auctions wont have had much traffic.

yeah you can do the same thing on fat fingers, and you can get a plug in for firefox to do the negative thing.

Yeah you could put in the wrong speilling, but on the one j600 has done it searches loads and loads of different combos of that spelling. so saves you loads of time.

i think it would be cool if it could bring up items ending within an hour, with no bids, no reserve, under a certain price etc etc.. within certain categories.

You ever used a program called konfabulator/yahoo widget engine. Its like widgets on osx but for windows.

If you could make a widget that uses your site that would be great.
