Swedish clothing giant H&M has paid $46.6 million for a 60 percent stake in Fabric Scandinavien. This being the parent company of everyone's favourite cheap as chips skinny jeans Cheap Mondays. "We see potential to develop stores and concepts in other markets," H&M chief executive Rolf Eriksen told DRAPERS.COM of the deal. "By working together we can accelerate the growth further. We can also do it in a more efficient manner by drawing on H&M's experience and knowledge of production, logistics and establishment." taken from http://www.pedestrian.tv/blogs/view/205/h&m_buys_cheap_mondays/ dont know if this is new to everyone, is to me. |

There are two Cheap Monday shops in Stockholm - called Weekday, one of them is pretty big and sells other brands like April, Julian Red and the other one is a tiny little cupboard with some girl sitting on a sowing machine knocking up pairs of jeans |

Cheap Mondays have always looked shit. I've never seen them in Oxford, but when I was out in Brum they were everywhere. |

ive sold 300 pairs in a year and i am a tiny shop so middlesbrough is a wash with them and i have a list of kids to ring when the new delivery comes in. I thought that cheap monday was originaly by some bird who worked at H&M in the sourcing team (and somone for levis), sounds to me that H&M have bought the brand because they are competition for their own denim. I remember when I was in their showroom when they had just launched and selfidges wanted 100'000+ pairs -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

ask ten of your mates if they have heard of 'cheap monday' and post back the results. they are a sucess cos they are fucking champagne jeans for lemonade money, dun hate or be jealous cos someones done well. and dean is was started by some geezer about 5 years ago in the back of his house (kind of). But i bet your mates or my mates or the majority of peoples mates are not the target audience. How many 17year old emo's do you actually know? i dont know any but i still see all of them wearing them about so low you can see what pants they are wearing(usually a vibrant colour/pattern. |
