How will you dress at 40?

The reason I ask is: I am 40..... I've just returned from town with a pair of Air Mogans, a Stussy shirt and a few Penguin tops IE the same king of stuff I was buying at 20. to be honest, even though it looks good on, i'm concious of looking a fraud. I belive the style press calls us 'kidults', in my mind, its the new word for 'twats'. Any advice? I feel/look too young for beige slacks, but at the same time, i dont want to look as though im trying too hard. brands? shops? looks? any hints? what will YOU wear at 40? |

wear what you feel comfortable in,if you just being yourself you will look good, you only end up looking like a twat if you are trying to look 'young' or 'hip' etc if the brands you wear reflect your lifestyle and who you are it dosent matter what other people your age are wearing.its just about being legit |

I see 40-50 year olds walking around in smart-casual wear sometimes, and they just don't look comfortable in it at all, like they've just given in to their wife's demands and gone with what they want them to wear. I bet deep down they want to dress more casually or something. |

Its something ive been asking myself..and ive not got too long to go til 40 (16 years). Half of me thinks, fuck it I can wear what I want, its such a suburban question and the other half thinks I should tone it down a bit. |

i don't think you have to give up as such, when you look at fashion theres lots of looks which would look fine at that age, off the top of my head - mod's or quite dandy-ish. not the exact look but the influences im sure would work. |

I don't know what I'm wearing tomorrow. That kind of question for me seems stupid to even contemplate, I'm more likely to think about what's the next natural disaster to happen. Astroid or something that wipes out half of the earth. |
