anyone come accross any decent bedside alarm clocks? secretsales.com have some Karlsson ones in the sale for £20 Anyone seen any nice photo frames around ? budget is up to £50 and ideally a frame that holds a standard 6x4 photo. Hermes have a nice one, but £350 is a bit hard to justify for just a photo frame, even if it is goatskin leather. |

I'm looking for something like this: http://www.infurn.com/en/design-lighting/design-wall-lamps/jean-prouve-style-potence-wall-lamp but with a slightly shorter 'arm'. I have no idea where to look or what it would be called as searching for potence lamp just brings up the original and repro versions but I think that would be too big for what I have in mind. Any suggestions please anyone? Any info would be much appreciated. Anyone? |

I've been in touch with him before about something and it fizzled out. I didn't consider commisioning anyone, but aren't US and UK light fittings different? Also, shipping would be a bitch. I was hoping there was an existing alternative to the potence lamp or something of a similar design that someone on here would be aware of? |

Those are about perfect, thanks mate, but they're at least twice what we want to pay, also shipping from the US will be quite pricey. As it's going into the spare bedroom, we don't really want to be spending more than about £150- £200 tops. I found these, which might be a worthwhile alternative: One of Those shorter Potence-style ones would be great for our dining room though... |

hate spot lights personally also not a fan except in the kitchen where you do need light directed to certain areas |

I had a look on john lewis, debenhams etc but the plain stuff was all sold out. White wouldn't really work in the room. I have no idea about bedding, just looking for something a bit better quality than Ikea. |

^ crisp plain white ftw for bedding can be difficult to keep white though, you could have to use a lot of chemicals which can be bad for your skin |
