the sound quality is absolute shit compared to a creative zen.
buy a creative zen.
don't bother asking questions.
ipods are shit.

Depends on loads of factors, headphones, what the mp3 is ripped at etc..
I used to be obsessed with iRivers, had the H140 and H320, and used to jump on the hate iPods bandwagon.
I've never found the iPod quality to be a problem?

Regarding iPods etc, when you download albums from iTunes can you determine the quality? Or is it set at a certain rate?
