The Raid - Mind blown. Silat aside, best gunfights seen in years. Didn't think the gunfights were that amazing compared to some of Johnny To's flicks; however the combination of martial arts, gunfights and constant tension throughout makes me think it might be the best action flick since maybe Hard Boiled. In other news I think we were the only couple in the cinema, most of the audience was dudes on their own... guess I have an awesome missus.

Went to see The Raid yesterday, wasn't that impressed tbh. The idea was better than the reality, the story got in the way of the action a little too much and the fight scenes (although impressive overall) got very samey and were nowhere near as good as those in Ong Bak etc. there was a story? |

Total Recall is based on a short story anyway, it's not going to be a remake of the film adaptation. |

It won't have a PG rating, it'll be a 12A. And that's just good business sense. The film remakes profit off of man children, low-level banterboys who go on about 'the good old days' and will take their date there because it seems 'safe' argh god im bored of writing this sentence fuck |

But should almost every new film be dumbed down/sanitised to be acceptable to 12 year olds ? Might be good bussiness sence but it makes for dull films if you're an adult. |
