if it takes 3 hours to tell the story properly then thats fine, I think a lot of films suffer from having to be 1.5 hours long. Exactly. |

I'm going to read all your reviews.
Last thing (no spoiler at all this) Idris Elba gets to smash Charlize Theron but as its Sir Ridley Scott the man simply doesn't do sex, who doesn't want to see Idris smashing the back end off of Charlize, well worth £8.50! |

Did chronicle remind anyone of Akira? Not the plot but the motivations and relationships of the characters. Andrew was like tetsuo and matt was like kaneda. |

piggy. wow. some sick fucked up film, but very good. i thought this was poor overall, quite predictable and some poor dialogue and acting, though the main character was alright. liked the last scene in the boozer. |

Reminds me I have to D/l Akira haven't seen it in ages, would you recommend chronicle cv? Yes i would recommend it, i think the characters reacted to their situation very realistically, whether you like the plot or not that gave it some value imo. |

Martha Marcy May Marlene - Was alright. The idea/premise is great but it's poorly executed. Full of plot holes, frustrating characters and of all the 'sudden ambiguous ending' movies I've seen, it's definitely the weakest. Going by the original trailer I saw, it would have been better told in a linear fashion, with both the cult/camp and the relationship between the sisters explored further at each end. Moonrise Kingdom - Went to see this tonight and enjoyed it. Fairly standard Wes Anderson fare, highly stylised, lots of static & dolly shots (it pretty much looks like a moving tumblr photoblog). Starts a little slow but really improves in the final two thirds as you warm to the main characters. Most of the big actors aren't in it very much though, Bill Murray pretty much does fuck all for the whole film. |
