I'm looking to spend sort of 350-450 tops on an LCD for my room. Needs to be easily hung. Can anyone recommend a really good set? Looking for it to be anywhere between 32-40". Better off shopping online or going to stores? Best brand to go with? Cheers. |

Lame, thought so. The reception is so shit in Liverpool. How would I go about getting a point to the outdoor aerial in my room? |

search for Aerial Extension Kit on the Argos website - basically you need a splitter to plug in where the aerial socket currently is, and a cable running from that to your room |

Paolo, As per PM. If you're buying LCD about that size then stick to a samsung or similar. |

keep an eye on http://www.hotukdeals.com/ also http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/371196/lg-32lg3000-32-widescreen-lcd-tv-hd/ as an example. But keep an eye on the spec as a load of shit tvs seem to get 'hot' ratings on HUKD due to the price and not the quality |

thats a good price for it... tho for some reason I on't like the picture quality i've seen on Samsungs. My friends has a nasty bit of ghosting and i don't know if he just has the contrast up to much but everything looks like its been filmed strangely. Probably best not to take this in to consideration as i'm sure i'm in minority when it comes to Samsung picture quality but thought i'd mention it anyway. We have a Panasonic with FreeSat at home and the quality of the picture is brilliant |

I'm not up on my LCD's MoB but a quick look and few people on Av forums are saying the motion blur on those sets are quite bad. Always keep in mind they tend to be very anal on there but if you're going to be watching a fair bit of footy on it you want one with decent response time. Samsung have always had a decent rep though on LCD's |

it's a 'feature' associated with LCD's apparently. The technical reason is along the lines that to create the colour in the pixel the power has to cycle it on to get the colour then off before producing the next phase of colour. effectively 2 cycles per frame on the screen. Plasmas by nature are black and it's only once power is applied the pixel colour is created once it's removed it's ready to go again for the next colour so only one cycle per frame is needed. It's in main to do with this as to why plasmas are considered better for fast moving pictures eg sport. Don't take that as gospel but it's my understanding anyway. |

need some tv help, where are the best places to look for a 26" lcd with a dvd slot? any offers going down soon? or anyone getting rid of one? cheers The Best 26" for the cash is http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-tv/samsung/le26b450/sams-le26b450 and get a seperate player for 20 or so quid. Most all in ones tend to be neither a good tv or a dvd player. |
