Blue Rinse has been split into 2 as far as I know, It's down call lane, off the corn exchange. Chimp is the only other interesting store in Leeds IMO, cool owner too. It's down Thorntons Arcade. |

when i go to leeds i allways park near the train station there is a large carpark there about 8 quid to park there all day, forgot what the road is called but its only about a 5 minute walk from brigate and there is the best sandwhich shop in the world just on the edge of the carpark. |

also nice place for lunch?? went to BRB last time and it was lovely... any better suggestions? cheers had a goat cheese and walnut pizza in there yesterday which wasn't bad. arts cafe across road is not bad. other considerations for lunch would be little tokyo behond house of fraser and tampopo just off park row. if you arrive in leeds going past the hilton towards the train station turn left under the arches and there is cheap parking down there |

Go to the Tiger of Sweden Shop, the only other one in the UK apart from Floral Street so that might be worth a look, something you dont see in many other places. Granary Wharf is good for parking, 2 mins straight off the Motorway exit following the signs for the centre, then its just a 2-3 min walk to the centre. Leeds has gone downhill recently, after Strand closed and Oki-ni stopped using Flannels but there's still some decent places there. |

I don't shop in Leeds much any more because the people that work in the shops piss me off. Hip and Chimp are the exceptions. If I were you, I'd have lunch at Norman, very good Oriental food, or maybe Jake's which is just opposite, both on Call Lane. (Or if you're loaded, try the Brasserie at 42 The Calls which used to be La Rascasse, it's nicebut expensive.) Vintage wise, Blue Rinse is still good, and if you're willing to have a real trawl through, the one fatb was on about is opposite the Job Centre on Lower Briggate, there are some bargains to be had in there. Tiger and Reiss have decent shops in Leeds and Harvey Nichols is getting better but other than that, I don't know what to suggest. Maybe Accent is good for girlies but it's terrible for men. There's a great lingerie shop opposite though, if you're interested... |
