Seems that for whatever reason on here the levels of stupidity are rising. I fear for a great many fellow fukers and think that with help from each other we may help guide each other through life....

So you know those stupid questions you dare not ask for fear of looking foolish or maybe you have a situation that you feel the advice and experience of wiser people than you could prove invaluable, then post it here!

Maybe we can link the student thread directly to this one? Eye-wink

Decent Pub / bar walking distance from Euston Station? Just meeting someone for an hour or two on Sunday before I get a train.

Need an o2 payg sim for a beater blower, don't want to have to top it up every month or anything like that. Will be using it daily for a few quick phone calls. Anyone got one?

Cheers.

Just got a hefty tax rebate for 2011/2012...but I was at uni for that period and didn't work a single day. I imagine this is a grand cock up and I should leave the money alone for a bit?

£50 a week? Laughing out loud £20 an hour.

And the tax rebate is close to a g...so of course I don't want to fuck about with it.

Just keep onto it, but be prepared to give it back if asked...eg, don't go out and blow the lot in a weekend!

A Burberry umbrella I own has broken, well it inverted and the arms are now bent. I contacted Burberry and they said they don't offer a repair service. Does anyone know of any places that do umbrella repairs?

http://www.james-smith.co.uk/ was recommended by Burberry, however, they failed to point out that they only repair umbrellas sold by themselves and not others. I did double check by dropping them an email and they only confirmed what was stated on the website. Thought perhaps they had some kind of partnership or something, but that's not the case.

Any other suggestions?

Are you in Manchester? My father knows a man who used to own a shop but now does repairs from home - think its in Prestwich.

Unfortunately I don't Crackajack.

I dropped London Undercover an email just on the off chance that they might know any umbrella repair specialists in London. They got back to me pretty fast saying that a lot of them have now closed down, they did mention James-smith but alas reiterated that they only repair their own. They also said it is quite difficult these days, as the parts have to be sourced directly from the manufacturer of the umbrella and you can't mix and match for obvious reasons. Seeing as Burberry no longer sell/produce the umbrella, and the fact it's about 4 years old now, it's pretty much impossible to source any of the original parts.

Looks like I'm going to have to bin the thing Cry
