Seems that for whatever reason on here the levels of stupidity are rising. I fear for a great many fellow fukers and think that with help from each other we may help guide each other through life....
So you know those stupid questions you dare not ask for fear of looking foolish or maybe you have a situation that you feel the advice and experience of wiser people than you could prove invaluable, then post it here!
Maybe we can link the student thread directly to this one?

about 7 of my mates have already booked a flight to ibiza, ive sorted a room for me and two of my mates and was gonna sort flights aswell but they are taking the piss giving me money so i'm just gonna book mine and tell them to sort it themselves.
if i bok on the same flight and still checked in same time as the 7 others who have booked we will still be able to be seated together, we don't need to all book as the same party?
depends what seats have already been booked online or at airport, unless it's a Ryan air "every man for himself dash across the tarmac and fight to get on the plane " afair, TBH it's not going to be long flight

Im never ever doing budget (easyjet) again. I came back from Morocco at the weekend and when they called our flight, 300 people got up and started to que, a full 30 minutes before the doors open and starting to push in etc. Then there's confusion and they changed the gate, suddenly 300 people are running, literally running to the other end of departures, throwing suitcases to partners etc This time every man for himself and there was no que, just a pile-up at the front. Silly thing is when I got on, nearly last, I sat right at the front and was therefore first off, first into passport control. The mentality of people is scary.

Depends where I go I suppose, but the BA flight to marrakech was only 40 more, just odd times.
Saying that, on the way out there was a 'well to do' (quite obviously) family heading out, using speedy.

Budget airlines charge you to choose your own seat. It's one of their ways of making the advertised price look lower than it really is. Every flight I've booked over the past couple of years has been like that. If there are spare seats then you can move when you get on the flight

Easyjet is defo just a free for all. Jet 2 has designated seats. Can't comment on others.

I think BMI give you a seat number, but you can't book it in advance, they give you a number as you check in
RyanAir is EMFH

Used Ryanair once. To reserve a emergency exit seat was £10 per person each way. The mrs and I were the only people to book them on both flights.

Talking of flights, I just got a free upgrade to business class AND put on a direct flight from Montreal to London cos my BA flight from Montreal to London via JFK has had its flight time changed which means I wouldn't make the connecting flight.
Second time BA have upgraded me for nowt. That's service
