Buying my own house at 24 with my own cash is not working class
Not bought it yet, searching at the moment but might be putting in a bid in the next few weeks. Of course mortgage, but no help from parents with deposit or anything. Well, apart from charging me cheap rent for living at home
I was 22 when I got my mortgage. I don't see it as something special, that's what normal people have to do, plus we had a 6 month old baby. Not trying to sound like a dick, just not sure what your point means?

Is the average age not 38 or something? I'd say 22 is quite something anyway.

i bought a house at 20, made loads and blew it all on clothes, partying, chicks, the rest i wasted etc ...
i wish i had been more crefull with money tbh, but i had a hell of a time. Now im settled im paying back and have no equity !
Still, the London move is on as ive accepted the job, so need to get a place, will find out tomoz how much of my 3 month notice period i need to work. Will try and do it cheap for the next 6 monthes then get a nicer gaff after that.

Currently doing the 'ol gumtree room hunting at the moment, it's so tedious and a proper ball ache. Can anyone suggest any other websites? I've tried moveflat.com.

I live in Surbiton (csb) and can confirm is OK place to live, trains to Waterloo < 20 mins. Getting home when its late sucks balls though so be prepared to walk from Kingston (not actually that bad, especially by the river)

Ruislip is the best area out of all you have been offered. But i dont want any northerners near me so never offer it up.
Northolts were i grew up, its the fucking ghetto.

article basically explaining the mortage / house prices is what makes the difference between the North and south. Obvious of course.
