a mate of mine had an Action Sampler when we were at uni. the pictures from it had fantastic colours in good light, but it wasn't good in darker situations

good fun, worth getting

always been tempted by a "proper" LC-A+ as the picture quality is supposed to be amazing. can't really justify it when I'm saving for a digital SLR though!

You were moaning about winning nothing!

I got a fisheye for my 350D a few months back, haven't used it that much yet, but its pretty cool.

I have a Lomo LC-A +
Great fun
Really small to just stick in a bag
Have to say I dont use it too much anymore, the digital has taken over

Probably easy to sum it up like this:
If you want to take photos that might come out looking very arty then a Lomo is ideal.
If you want to take a pic of something and want to be guaranteed to have a good quality photo of it, lomo is not so good!

Cool ... So when you go to get em processed, they aint so good?

but alright for a laugh?

all in all is it worth the 30 quid?

You have to be careful when getting them processed.
Make sure there isnt any correction done during the processing

I think probably the best way to sum up what i was scrabbling for before would be to say the Lomo is unpredictable!

Worth getting one for a laugh though, for sure

is it you or jimmyf that's in Dundee? I can never remember. they have some Lomo cameras in the DCA shop if it is you, they usually have the 4-shot action camera, and sometimes one of the others too

edit - just remembered it's jimmyf. So for non-Dundonians, art galleries often stock the cheaper Lomos in their shops

I've got a proper LCA, only one worth the cash I reckon, most of the others are a total rip off.

That said, the LCA is amazing, just the right amount of control, without feeling like you have no idea what a photo might come out like.
