Spent yesterday traipsing around London, thought I'd mention what I saw:
Harrods sale was pretty poor, went to the LG Floor menswear section and there isn't a lot of stuff, although there is still some DIor in the sale, didn't really check it out though.

Harvey Nichols sale is winding down but has a few decent bargains, I got a pair of Varvatos jeans in quite a thin material for £40 down from £140, some nice Trovata tees (someone on here posted one in Last Purchase I think), other decent jeans including PRPS decent reductions but still pricey.

Liberty had some OK stuff, some Ralph Lauren paint splattered chinos I liked half price but only one pair left. They have Nudie baggy Bjorn orange selvedge jeans half price, I think it was mainly bigger sizes though. The new season Number (N)ine stuff in Liberty is absolutely beautiful BTW, I could easily spend a couple of grand in there. Really nice cadrigan, a lovely knitted suit jacket type thing (about £850!), black washed out tees with a really subtle print on the back, plus a really smart military jacket. Shoes were bargainous, all white Vans slip-ons for £15, various Vans reduced (slip-ons £15-£20, Visvans £40-ish, nice Red Wings for £70).

Hideout was utter pony, staff were friendly and helpful as ever but the stock was really disappointing, loads of BBC stuff (half the tee shirt display bit and about half the racks), all rotten. Couple of OK NBHD tees but already have a few I prefer. Great selection of Visvims though, pricey but pretty much all their current styles. I tried on a pair of leather Buckminsters (very nice shoe, £145) but they were too tight sadly.

Foot Patrol had a surprising number of black or grey Moires with the speckled sole (as did DSM) and some OK sale stuff.

DSM didn't have a sale on so I didn't look around for too long, nice NBHD tees for some band remixed by Hiroshi Fujiwara (picture of a pair of hands over a keyboard) which were quite reasonable for £45, nice N(N) jewellery but didn't ask the price.

Office shops have those pink Swear slip-ons with the question mark cheap, I got some very nice all black leather NB 576s for £25. they also had the one-piece lazer Gazelles for £20.
Offspring 63 i Covent Garden also had vintage Superstars for £35 in pretty much all the colours.

Browns had Undercover tees for £40 but only a couple of designs, some nice python (?) leather N(N) wristbands for £50 (half-price). I bought a N(N) oversized red skull (Misfits) tee.

Uniqlo denim is not great at the moment and there wasn't that much there, some really nice printed tees for £10, would have bought a few but have too many tees anyway.

Japan Centre had some of their magazines cheap, I got an old Boon, a Smart and a Cool Trans for £13 altogether, as I can't read Japanese and just like to look at the pictures not bothered about the latest issues. I also got free “Bape groves” (sic) and a Bape banadana (they do telephone orders if anyone is after any Japanese literature).

As expected it is hot as fuck though, expect to sweat! My number one tip: Take a bandana soaked in cold water with you, to mop your fevered brow (actually helped a bit).
I wore my Visvim Faunas which were extremely comfortable all day, I also took a man bag with me (the Head Porter one I bought from Kie) which carried a surprising amount of stuff.

The Number (n)ine stuff in Liberty is lovely. Lots of APCs in there too, including a lovely jacket at £200 which might be finding its way into my wardrobe very soon. And, as previously said, they have some bargains in the shoe sale.

A few things in Puma looked okay, including a blue diagonal-zip jacket, but its not for the skinny runts out there, quite a loose fit. Few of their trainers seem okay at the moment too.

Vans I'm not getting excited about at the moment. Shame, because I love my prison issues, but all black, white or purple isn't selling me anything.

Missed Uniqlo by 10mins and only ended up buying two plain tees from H&M lol

the sale prps in Harvey Nicks consist of around 3 pairs in 36 waist and all ancient stock.

there are hundreds of Edwins and Nudies tho.

All PRPS are half price in Liberty, not sure what sizes and when they date from though.

From what I can remember they were very limited (this was on Monday), perhaps 10-15 pairs left. Many a Japanese person was oggling them.

I bought some shells today - £35 is great value. Selfridges has been and gone - Browns and Poste were both shut after work so I'll have to go back.

generic_guy would be really appreciative of pics of the varvatos jeans. Would anyone be going there and do me a favour and get me a pair? Smiling
