here's my attempt at a mix (drum & bass) I did yesterday when bored...I accept no responsibility for the state of your ears afterwards.

Hmm
Hype music, but has little moments. Hype album. Can see them working with kanye, unless they already have.

is there any good software for making little mixtapes and stuff like that easily or is it just easier to do it all through something like audacity?

really hype. but i agree its got its moments and the best tunes in that mix are made by them. first i heard of them was when rustie dropped that tune in his boiler room set ages ago, huge. just hope the whole uk bass scene doesnt jump on the trap band wagon too hard, could get old very quickly. also, juke > trap

I like the TNGHT stuff but I think it will just be a flash in the pan thing (isn't most dance music nowadays?) Never really been into listening to HudMo outside of a live/club atmosphere but I find TNGHT's stuff a bit less "hard" and more enjoyable. The Beyonce sampled "Higher Ground" is a great track though when all's said and done.

The only Hudson Mohawke tune that TNGHT could be considered as softer than would be Thunder Bay, but Higher Ground is much harder than that IMO. Don't think it'll become a UK bass trend/phenomenon at all, too far from the garage/D&B roots that it's so grounded in.

Hud Mo has already worked with Kanye, helped with the drum programming on Mercy and is doing further production work for him as far as I know. Wouldn't be surprised if Lunice ends up working with him or other big name rappers soon too, since he's fully under Diplo's wing now.
