Anybody got anything decent planned? I'm tryng to sort something out at the moment (hiring a hotel in Brighton), its gonna cost about £6000 (which between about 30 people is fuck all).

House parties are out as I haven't got my own house, been looking to see if you can hire an apartment for just NYE but its not looking good at the moment.

Any decent ideas are also appreciated Eye-wink

Last house party I went too was a fucking joke.. doors knocked down, ps2 and camcorder stolen, dads mercedes benz stolen, wine cupboard broken into and all wine drank, credit card stolen and used in a shop the next day, some lads were cooking household items in the mircrowave 'for a laugh'. The police went round everyones house, including mine, for interviews a week later.

Funnily enough I have not contacted John Sirs since I left Canada.

Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you.

You had your own party didn't you?
While we went to Reggies... which wasn't good because you couldn't even move his appartment was so packed, we should have just had a party at our place instead.

I see where you are coming from Homer, but then if you locked everything of value away, the only damage would be structurial damage to the house and provided you have your mates there, you should be able to take care of any unruly crashers.

House party was class, finished about 6am. Still not feeling 100% Sad When back round to help with the clean up this afternoon, some people have no respect. Sick up the wall, carpets ruined, broken chairs, bsthroom floor destroyed to name a few things...

I was hoping to be skiing over new year but we're going on the 5th Jan instead Sad

Won't do much as 1 day to recover before work limits the fun.

I hate new years too....
If I want to celebrate, go out and get fucked.. I can do it any time of year.
I use NYE for relfection and I like waking up on NYD early, no hangover, no come down. No moose in the bed next to me. In my own place.

However, later that day......

My girlfriend has decided that she wants to go for dinner on new years eve - I am presuming that i've left it far too late to get a reservation anywhere. Anyone got an suggestions? Basically want a few drinks in a bar then a meal couple of drinks until it's new year and then fuck off home. Loungelover is all I have been able to come up with but that looks expensive

House party at my mates house, hopefully be in some girls pants by early morning.

It's a shame the girl I like isn't going, she's going to another party elsewhere which she invited me too.

I'm doing the right thing going to my best friends house party though right?
