I quite like these clothes with hi-tech materials.
Does a jacket made with Gore-Tex make it substantialy warmer?
Anyone actualy got one?

Gore-Tex doesn't make the material itself warmer, but it stops the wind getting in about you so you feel a bit warmer. if the air temperature is low though you will feel cold, you need a lining as well as the Gore-Tex layer, whether that lining be built into the jacket or in the form of another separate layer of clothing

Gore-tex has nothing to do with warmth. It's to do with waterproof-ness. Gore-tex is a membrane whereby the holes within the material is so small it allows air to travel in and out, but not water molecules. So it's a very breathable material but at the same time keeps you dry.

This however has been superseeded by eVent.

I like the Acronym stuff for the same reason, but the prices are just silly.

Acronym.

I think some jackets of Visvim this season come in Small... but not sure if they've just shifted down the sizing so instead of M,L,XL it's now S,M,L.
