Right, long story short. I ordered some stussy items and a jacket from an american webstie to my aunties. My auntie mails it to me, marked as gift. The parcel is due sometime today. TODAY, i get a letter from parcel force saying that there are charges to be paid to the tune of £38.00 Import Duty - £11.39 What is all this about |

they arent scamming. she probably marked it with its full value... you need to take the tags off in case they open it and mark it as $10 or something. |

Eh, you did ask her to mark the value down yeah? I've had stussy stuff shipped from the states, I always get them to mark the value down to $20... had no problems whatsoever. If your auntie just puts "gift" then they'll just put a value on themselves. Think the only way you'd get away with just marking it gift is getting the sender to wrap the stuff up in say birthday wrapping paper inside the box... |
