long story short..got some bits sent over some from japan a week last fri by ems, and parcelforce delivered them last week, the 16th,but i was out and gave them over to someone who lives in my street/close... and thats all i know, i know their name, well unless its not made up from the online tracking info.

any thoughts on what i can try? been knocking on doors to find it but with no luck.

It may have been delivered to your local post office. The same happened to me (something which Jake sent). Ended up ringing Parcel Force and the lady on the phone tracked it for me and said it was delivered to my local post office. I spent ages on 192.com looking up the name though and knocking on random peoples doors! Laughing out loud

similar thing happened to me a couple of years ago with a box of limited edition sunglasses, the postman delievered to the wrong number in our street, someone signed for them with a name that was probably false. I could even see their signature online, but no-one at that number owned up to it, cunts, and the post office just weren't interested

They don't call them PARCEL FARCE for no reason!

..They kind of remind me of Ace Venture at the start of the film when hes kicking the parcel down the hallway! My mate received a £500 guitar amp in a badly battered box once off them and they just left it in the doorway, he had to send the amp off for repairs!

If you can't find the actual house of if the person they left it with doesn't pass it on to you, I'd give them a ring and see what is going on. Although everyone I know seems to have problems with parcelfarce, when I had to phone up once I got some lovely lass on the phone who sorted it all out! Smiling

the other thing to do if all else fails is get the police to go round to said adress,as theft of mail opening of something not adressed to you is also illegal, might just be enough to scare somone whos chanced it in to giving the goods over.

Most parcel force drivers are self employed and thus get paid not by the hour but by how many parcels they drop off. So they will do anything to ensure they don't return the parcel back to thier depot.

Wheelie bin, over the garden fence, under the car! Also they have to get a sig for the parcel, so most of the time this is faked!

Once left some flat pack furniture in my back garden when I wasn't home... of course it rained!

Got sent said items again a week later but wasn't happy at the time (managed to salvage the "ruined" set and sold it on later)

i can remember a few yrs back my mate ordering a lot of expensive photo paper whic mysteriously never turned up 6 months later when we were moving out we found under the stairs down to the basement level hidden under an old door a pack of photo paper where some donut driver had obviously hidden it expecting us just o find it with no explination of where it might be or even that a delivery atempt had been made!

think i might call the police over it, as ive been sent on a wild goose chase up and down my street by pf, i cant believe that they can be this cuntish, and not leave a note or something. going to call back tomorrow as a manager said hell get the driver, whilst on a run, to come round and try and remember where he delivered it. which im skeptical about.

The parcel I've sent that was meant to be delivered on Friday has still not been delivered, despite the man on the phone saying Saturday before 12 was a guarantee. Definitely pushing for a full refund now. Useless. Roll Eyes

in all fairness, even though the driver was a prick for giving it to someone else and not letting me know, hes tried pretty hard to get it back, hes just been back and been knocking on peoples doors trying to find it, as well as going to every address thats similar to mine in the neighborhood thinking he might of delivered it to the wrong address. and the local depot have been calling me back, still no closer to finding it.

My new jeans came today, delivered by a company I've never heard of 'Interlink express'. They were fine, tried to deliver yesterday, left a not, I rang up, and they delivered them today. No fuss.

They normally come when I'm having a shit or a shower though.
