Can anyone recommend anywhere cheap, but not too shitty to stay fairly central in Paris? Hopefully spending a few days there next month. |

I've stayed here 3 times, it's a good location : http://www.ramada.com/Ramada/control/Booking/property_info?propertyId=15259 Seems to be really expensive at the moment, I didn't pay anything like that much. |

I paid 380 Euros for a 5 night stay in a studio apartment (very compact, but ok) next to the Seine (behind the Musée d'Orsay) in September last year. Worked out much cheaper than a hotel in a similar location. The one I stayed in isn't available to rent any more though. |

Reckon im definately gonna check out the catacombs this time. Got to cram everything into 3 days so going to be busy. Anyone got a copy of the Superfuture guide they can spare? |

If you get a chance, go to the catacombs, they are amazing. +1 tho make sure you don't get stuck behind fatties before climbing the steps at the end like we did. |

Do you have to queue for ages? Saw some sites that promise queue jump but add a hefty whack onto the price for the priveledge. |

I got there about half an hour after it opened on a tuesday and walked straight in. I wouldn't bother. |

We didn't queue either, I guess it's not a top tourist atraction realy, not like the usual things people visit that have vast queues most of the year. |

I'd also recommend a wander round the Latin Quarter for some cool bars/cafes, you don't feel like you're in Paris anymore, it's so laid back and relaxing. The Pantheon and Luxumbourg Gardens are worth a visit too while you're there. |

Cheers guys. Trying to find a hotel at the moment which isnt too shit and doesnt cost more than 75 a night is proving to be a problem. Honeymoon on a budget and the mrs wants 5 star at 2 star prices. Tripadvisor just says everywhere is shit. Flights booked so just need everything to fall into place now. |

Make sure you read some of the reviews for each hotel on Tripadvisor and don't just go by the ratings - some of the reasons people give for marking a hotel down are ludicrous! |
