Photoshop help - Spot Colour

Howdy, i know there are a few photoshop masters on here so any help would be much appreciated.

Basically i need to change a cymk jpeg background image into a 1 spot colour in photoshop. Anyone know an easy way to do this? Never had to play around with channels etc so dont know where to start and cant find a tutorial on how to.

Try typing 'spot color' into the search box in photoshop help, tons of info.

Make it a grey scale then make it a duotone, click on colour tab, colour libraries, pic your colour.
