I don't see anyhting wrong with wanting to dress a bit like a trucker, work wear style has always been popular, like military styling, it's no worse than wanting to look like a librarian or bank manager which seems to be popular at the moment.

I'm just going to go and quote myself here:

Not saying it's not cool, but why pay so much for it? It's japanese remaking classic american and asking a 1000% mark-up. I'm sure the quality is fantastic but the whole point seems lost.

your beef is the cost then, not that they are dressed like truckers ?

What would you want someone who paid a lot for their clothes to be dressed like, Prince Philip ?

it's not about what is popular. That's not what a few ppl on here rank pre-purchase. Others do and that's fine, 'popular' stuff as you might say(lolucks) can of course and is really cool eg visvim, engineered garments, nonnative.. just because someone wears 'non-popular' stuff/ unknown brands (throw me a bone here because I don't get this part of what you think going back to the derby shoe chat which clearly has piqued your interest and spilled over into another thread) doesn't mean they want to look like a librarian or at worst boring.

what makes you think they are coming back? the brands sold to IT group, a massive chinese clothing retailer. they are probably making more money now though.

The clothing truckers wear or other people who wear 'workwear' clothes are usually pretty cheap since they can't afford that much and it just needs to be practical.
If you want to emulate that look, that's cool. But it would be a lot cheaper if you went hunting for vintage items and not some japanese reproduction. I like what nbhd en the tenderloin do, I just think it's very expensive for stuff that started out as affordable and practical.
Would you dress head to toe in nbhd you'd have to spend a few thousands to look like you've spend a few tenners.
They've got stand-out pieces but most of it just looks very very plain.

If you're buying it all brand new from non-jap retailers at full price, then yes, you could spend a fair amount on a head to toe outfit. However, I'm the same as Sayword on this, most of my Tenderloin and (I think) all of my NBHD except one thing was bought from eBay/ yahoo Japan/ reduced in the sales or from classifieds. And it's not THAT expensive, it's hardly RO/CCP/Givenchy prices.

It's pretty expensive imho, especially full priced ( maybe I'm just poor Oops ). Although I'm personally not a fan of the RO/DD/CCP stuff, it does look arguably more expensive than e.g. a plaid shirt.
