Two arrested after crowd stampeded store to buy PlayStation 3 FRESNO, Calif. - Two people were arrested after a crowd waiting to buy Sony's PlayStation 3 rushed an electronics store, trampling people in the parking lot of a Fresno shopping center, police said. Police declared the crowd of several hundred people an unlawful assembly about 10 p.m. Thursday and threatened to use Tasers on the die-hard gamers, some of whom had camped out since Tuesday hoping to buy one of the 34 consoles for sale at Best Buy. James Lee, 26, of Fresno, was arrested on suspicion of battery on a peace officer and obstructing police officers in the performance of their duties, Sgt. Steve Card said. A boy, who was not identified because he's a juvenile, also was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace, police said. |

No, but I will point out that its been won by a bidder with a feedback score of 1, which is also negative. It was probably someone pissing about. In Japan, the latest is that most are dropping their prices, almost back down to retail prices now. The various interviews on the news seem to show that most people were buying to sell on, even organised groups who managed to get as many as 150 between them all. Trouble is they aren't selling for the markups well enough, so a lot of these profieters haven't come up quite as trumps as they thought they might. |

I'm sure you will call me an Xbox lover or something for this... I've had Gears of War two days now and I can honestly say its one of the best games I've ever played, the graphics are the best I've ever seen, the co-op is great, its so good.
It's worth buying a 360 for it alone. But then if all you play is PES6 and Football Manager, might as well stick with your PS2 hey. |

this is insane, PS3 is a 'one day' thing for me, certainly not while im a student. thought i'd better add that im too cool for Xbox, so won't be getting one with its many nu-metal soundtracked games. |
