Loved being back at Anfield, although not that often this season Cry

Borini is my new hair idol, nice strike tonight.

Think we'll finish top 10 this season

Best thing about tonight was Agger and Skrtel starting together. But also Saurez signing that new deal, Allen in the stand watching the game also.

I think me and you noble would get along in the real world. I know I'm smashed now but footy, beer, lines and we'd be sound.

is anybody else salivating at the prospect of rooney rvp partnership?
putting hate aside, it would be superb for our league, and probably the only chance on the planet united would have of challenging for anything this season.
thats why i believe it will happen. fergies the all time best manager in the world, he will not miss out on this chance.

Juve coach done for match fixing so looking like Utd, unless City put in a bid which will be at end of Ramandan I suspect by which time season has started. But seem like Utd or City dont mind waiting til 31st Aug 00:00 to put in a low ball bid.

Not convinced they will work well together. Plus Rooney and Welbeck have shown glimpses of being a quality duo when they've played together IMO so not sure RVP is best use of the money for Man U. You're right about Fergie though so they'll probably smash 60 goals between them.

rooney and rvp will be the best partnership in the world imho.
rooney could play with any player in the world, hes that type. can adapt to any style, thats why hes deemed so good.

scott sinclair is 1/4 to join city. what the fucking hell for? such bullshit, why the hell would they need or want that twat.
same as moses to chelsea, i just really dont get it.
let these players stay at smaller clubs so they get a game.

Low balling won't work. £20m + or no go.

Rooney is adaptable but both of them like to be at the centre of the attacking play, they both drop off to pick the ball up and both go wide etc. I just don't see them as complimentary to each other but I suppose Fergie would set them up to be so. Will be interesting if it happens.

Regarding the lowballing there seems to be a lot of stalemate in the transfer market at the minute - RVP, Modric, Moses, Debuchy etc. Buyers holding their nerve for the time being.....

Doesnt matter. Can afford to turn down 10 mill or any "low ball" offers. Don't need to sell and will only do so for a price that makes it worthwhile

Puzzled I'd have thought it's the complete opposite.

me too. why would they write off 15 million quid plus however many million in wages they'll have to pay him to sit around and sulk for a season?

Because if letting him go is the difference between qualifying for the Champions League or not, it's a no brainer. They Stand to lose more money than they'd receive for him by not qualifying. Especially if it drags on til the end of the window and there's no time to replace him. Although the 3 new signings all look good and are exciting, they are still unproven in the prem. Plus there's the matter of pride. Ultimately the business side of things is important, but selling a player to a team who've been such a major rival over the last 15 years is the ultimate sign of diminished status.

He's not the kind of player who'll sulk and has been a model pro in pre season by all accounts.
