I'd like to help with "new" stuff, but all the sorts of things I listen to aren't new bands or anything, they've all been around for a while.

Well that's fine too, just as long as they're quality. I might not have heard of them or given them a go. Drop some knowledge Heath!

Bowt bloody time, really hope it doesn't disappoint. They'll have to come up with something special to top Worship and Tribute though imo.

Thanks fellas I will check all of those out.

I'm in a similar boat, was bang into the scene about 5 years ago, but have only recently got into it again. As mirrored said Polar Bear Club are excellent. I'm also enjoying the Loved Ones, Set Your Goals and Four Year Strong at the min.

Got gigs coming up for A Wilhelm Scream, Frank Turner, Set Your Goals and Greenday (just have to have seen them once, and hoping for a good support, rumours of Offpsring or Bouncing Souls Oops)

Haha fair enough. Well I listen to a lot of different punk, from hardcore to pop punk, so some of these obviously might not be to your taste, but alright. I won't bother listing most of the Fat Wreck bands I listen to, I mean, I'm sure everyone's heard of Me First & The Gimme Gimmes, NOFX etc. Listened to the new Killswitch self titled album the other day, not really too impressed by it.

The Descendents - Everything Sucks - "I'm The One" is my favourite track off this album.
Lagwagon - Double Plaidinum - "One Thing To Live" is awesome. Actually, this whole album is awesome.
The Flatliners - Destroy To Create - Check out Fred's Got Slacks
Propaghandi - Supporting Caste - "Potemkin City Limits", the song, not the album.
Superchunk - Leaves in the Gutter - "Learn to Surf".

Forgot I was writing this post, just seen that Ulster and mirrored have both recommended Polar Bear Club, definitely worth checking out if you haven't already. Again, as Ulster said, "Sleep is For the Weak" by Frank Turner, is a great album as well, not really punk-y though.

Down To Nothing, Hostage Calm, Dead To Me, Dear Landlord are worth checking out too, I'm sure I'll come up with some more on another trawl through my iTunes, so I'll post a bit later.

What's the album Supporting Caste like Heath? HTCE is my favourite Prop album but I liked Potemkin City Limits (the album) too.

Get Up Kids would be a real nostalgia show for me.

I really like Supporting Caste, it's not quite as poppy at HTCE, but still classic fuck-the-man Propaghandi.

Rochdale mate, used to live in Withington up until a year or so ago.

Anyone who hasn't given Against Me! a proper listen check out 'As the Eternal Cowboy' such an amazing album, every song is a belter!
Their other albums are great too, bar the latest one which was a bit rubbish in parts.

BTW Fenix TX (for anyone who was into them/remembers them) are re-forming and writing new stuff. Their self titled is one of ym all time favourite po punk albums. Reminds me of being 15 and wearing Dickies, Airwalks and Hurley Laughing out loud

Can't see that re-union being too successful though Puzzled

I used to play in a band and wee covered 'All my fault' by Fenix tx, total nostalgia... I fucking loved that band when I was younger!

I really like 'Twin Atlantic', http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H6Tz5-Z2go&feature=related

I love the older bands like Minor Threat and Black Flag and bands like Thursday and Hatebreed. Out of Step by Minor Threat has to be one of the best and most influential albums ever. It's outstanding

Never really got into the new bands. Stuff like Against Me is just watered down pish really.

Two other bands worth a listen are Sick of It All (esp the albums 'Blood, Sweat and No Tears' and 'Life on the Ropes') and also Descendents.
