Witness is a great album.
Been listening to Xerxes' new release which is pretty decent, and a lot of old Merchant Ships.

Was never really into that stuff (American Nightmare, Hope Conspiracy etc which was what I always lumped MLIW in with, I always preferred the heavier more extreme stuff) but I really like that album, can't even remember what brought me to buy it?

Powerviolence, fast core, thrashy, grind- anything that was brutal as fuck without resorting to shitty death metalisms, stuff like Iron Lung, Shank, Crossed Out though to Backstabbers Inc. Converge and Botch. I'm pretty out of touch now though...

I dig converge and Trash Talk. Again I just prefer the more simple stuff, Madball etc.
