As styles have matured somewhat on here over the last 2/3 years there's a lot more shirtage being worn and bought - seems right to have a thread like everything else does

What is the quality like on the Muji Oxfords? Comparable to Uniqlo?

Is the sizing on muji shirts similar to uniqlo - size down? The size chart seems to say so but it's not that clear.

Anyone heard of Mercer & Sons? My dad has a few and seems to rate them but I think they only come in 'super baggy' cut.
Quality will be OP though Im sure, no idea where he buys them from...

Roderick Charles has some cheap shirts atm:

Dunno if it's like a Charles Trywhitt/T.M Lewin bullshit discount, though I read that it isn't.

I emailed them and they said that the shirts from 15" to 16.5" have plain backs, so I'm tempted to buy one and get it darted at the tailor. Still comes out pretty cheap.

can anyone recommend some nice shirts to be work for work with a suit, that doesn't have cut away or crappy tm lewin style collars and are fairly nice. Happy to pay up to say £50/shirt

for wearing to work with a suit but don't want to look like a city boy

Probably not cut slim enough for most on here but good quality shirts with a good reduction atm

For smart shirts, I generally buy from Harvie and Hudson and get them taken in by a tailor afterward; even the slim fit shirts of most Jermyn St bods seem to be designed for the more rotund City worker.
