Just on my way to Edinburgh at the moment, was just wondering if there's any places worth going to

Depends what you're into really, not much of anything. Goodsteads on Rose Street has some nice stuff (fred perry laurel, NDG, Edwins etc.). Harvey Nicks is ok, got a tiny Dior selection, big Rl. If you're into the streetwear then check out focus in the Grassmarket or State of mind on St Marys Street. Xile sometimes has ok things in aswell so it might be worth a look! But Edinburgh's shit...

Cruise on George street if you like Prada, Stone Island, Armani etc. You might be lucky and get a 10% off in their summer sale.

I find the Harvey Nics to be ok, probably better than the London one. They've usually got good Gucci, Balenciaga, and Burberry prorsum gear if you've got deep pockets.
