Shops in Bangkok?

Does anyone know of any good places to get clothes (shorts, t-shirts, jeans, trainers, shoes) in Bangkok?

I know the malls but not anywhere else that might have decent clothing.

Also any good bar recommendations would be good.

Can't beat Koh San Road for a big piss up, but it doesn't really have any "smart" bars so to speak.

Yeah khao san does have its place but after something a bit more 'UK' (not the fake ye olde English/Irish pubs but more bar-y).
