Did you try Googling persol 649 black 49? Laughing out loud

Because it brings up this on the first page:

http://www.otticanet.com/persol.cfm?p_codice_occhiale=PO_0649

Swear down I did, Andy...though I do have adblock on, so maybe that's why it didn't come up? Oops I just get a lot of eBay results on the first page.

What do you think about grey shaded lenses...should I avoid? Also what's the difference between polarised and photo chromatic polarised?

Thanks, Andy.

I have gradient lenses (what they call shaded on that site) in a pair of my sunglasses, and I'm still not 100% sure about them.

Looking at them being worn (as opposed to looking through them while wearing) I definitely prefer a solid colour.

But from a practical point of view gradient lenses are good, as your eyes are shaded from the sun above but because it's lighter at the bottom you can see the ground / where you're going more clearly than with a solid colour.

They're useless for sunbathing though!

Polarisation is a process that (simplistically) cuts out reflections leading to clearer vision. Photochromic polarised lenses do the same but get lighter and darker according to light levels - ie if you're outside in bright sunlight they go dark, if you're inside in the dark they lighten.

hey fella's, was looking to get a pair of the "Haight" sunglasses featured in this collection http://www.spyoptic.com/collection/crosstown

seems like they are US only though, I don't want to pay tons for shipping or any duties so I was wondering if anyone knew of any eu dealers that might have them, if not, any glasses that are of a similar style? Not raybans preferably. Cheers

They definitely have stockists in the UK, but I think they sell direct through their agents now and not through a UK distributor.

You could try asking on their Facebook page, it's pretty active (assuming you've tried contacting them directly already).

Not sure who specifically those are by, but have a look at RVS by V and Moscot.

Lots of brands are doing that style at the moment though.
