As some of you know I left my job last week to start my own store so I thought I would start a thread to keep you all up to date with the progress of it. I am not doing this to 'pimp' the store I am doing because I think some people on here it could find it interesting. If the majority of you think its not I will delete the thread. It's called 'Superstar' it is only a small store but I have options to expand within the building if things go to plan. Its based in Middlesbrough opposite Psyche (which was fun telling my ex MD!) and next door but one to Triad's Mainline store so its in a good part of town which is getting a hell of lot of money threw at it by the local council over the next couple of years. Brand wise, I am off to Bread & Butter (European tradeshow) on Tuesday to finalise the my brands (which I will let you know about at a later date purely because all the others stores in Middlesbrough lurk on here!) but already secured WE/SC, Xlarge, Zoo York, 2K, Votan, Fuct, Kubrick, Le Tigre I also have a supplier for Nike & Adidas. Added to that I will be re-selling bits of Supreme & Bape that I have picked up from various places. I am planning a transactional website for around April time, on that there will be fuk discount codes and previews on all sales ect... (which I will be calling on some people on here for advise!) So as things develop with the design, shop fit, brands etc I will post up pictures and stuff and keep you all updated. |

Good luck with the venture chap Q: how did you decide on what labels to carry? never been to the boro apart from the riverside and all the blokes looked like serious growlers wont they potentially clash with the market that the other two shops are catering for? |

good luck mate...not that you will need it....you should deffo get someone to travel round the world for you tho, going to things like the supreme warehouse sale, going to japan and hong kong etc buying top quality bits new or otherwise and bringing them home in a suitcase....have a sort of 'cough cough under the counter cop porn section.' |

GUy from sf went to the Supreme warehosue sale, bought a bunch of tees etc for likr $10/20 each and straight off reselling them to fellow SF'rs. Just pointing out its all shit compared to his place. |
