READ AND COMPLY WITH BEFORE POSTING SALES THREADS OR YOUR THREAD WILL BE DELETED

- You must be an 'elite' member of fuk. The Elite are those that have been good enough to donate £10 or more to the upkeep of fuk. In doing so, they are entitled to list stuff for sale in the classifieds section amongst other perks. The original 'golden jimmys', ie. those who have already donated are now life-time elite members. You can still join their ranks, but from now on elite membership is on an annual recurring basis.
fuk username:

- All items must have a picture. No 'interest checks'.

- If you post pictures that aren't yours or are stock photos from another site, the post will be deleted.

- Include a price on all items - no offers.

- Fake products are strictly prohibited from being listed. It is up to the seller to guarantee the authenticity of anything being sold. A ban will be given for any and all fake items listed.

- All items offered must be in possession of the poster. No items may be offered for sale that have not yet been taken delivery of.

- Items listed on ebay are allowed, but there must be a BIN price for fuk members, listed here.

Please make new threads for new sales. If you don't the search doesn't work right and longer threads slow the whole site down.

Sorry but I strongly disagree with some of those rules.

Firstly, Ive been a member here for a fair few years (and presumably a fair few others who also dont have that 'golden' thingy) - and I understand it that I am now no longer allowed to post in classifieds because I didnt donate a tenner?

(I'm afraid I dont even know what the golden orb refers to, as I only post rarely now)

Secondly, this idea of 'tagging' all pictures, no offence but I'm a member of a few boards (with different usernames normally) and I like to use the same pictures on all sites if possible.

This would be too time consuming to keep uploading different pics with different usernames on each board.

I have sold on here many times successfully to longtime members and without any complaints at all.

Why can't we just go back to a common sense approach?

If someone is selling Red Monkey jeans on "1 Post" then use your common sense and realise they are most likely fake.

the rules dont matter to you tho man, you cant post in here, so dont let them bother you, if you been here so long and had so much success selling stuff and earning money from here, donating a tenner to keep the place running 100%, should of come as second nature to you. . . . .just carry on selling and enjoying the less strict rules on the other forums...peas.

he cant mate, a new one would be nuked strait off....we can delete his old sale thread, but that would be a bit petty wouldnt it? unless you want this forum properly cleaned up and all non goldens sales cleared off...let the people decide.

Can I update my thread then? As in, lower prices etc, not using the same thread to continually add more items for sale.

Laughing out loud

maybe I should elaborate:

existing classifieds posts are safe, provided no new items are added and the thread is not bumped by the poster

i dont know what the golden thing is because I only post occassionally now, so i dont know anything about servers or jimmy hill icons.

i dont think its right that traditional members shouldnt be allowed to post cos they didnt pay a tenner?

seems a bit elitist IMHO.

Logically that raises this question though:

"what happens when a sale from a golden jimmy goes wrong?"

Are you gonna penalise then ban all Golden Jimmys and only allow 'mods' to post sale threads in Classifieds?

yeah, i think the tagging is a bit strong as well...all of us are proper that can sell now so it dont seem worth it...i dont sell anything, but i dont think i could be arsed to do that tagging if i did tho.
