I really like them, to me they're a bit like an FBT without all the fuss of the flaps and fringes. However, I guess they're going to be completely impractical as an A/W shoe, due to the construction of the toe box?

agree, but a little too high and too many eyelets for my liking.

didn't know antelope leather was not as expensive as previous leather used, looks like a price drop for the grizzly. think it's time for a pair.

to be honest, Grizzly are the most fragile Vis shoes I ever owned, they look massive but they are pretty light. The sole is gumlite, so it wears out very fast. My Virgil or Zermatt are way more resistant, I wouldn't wear my Grizz if it rains (I live in Shanghai and rains are very heavy here). Those HB description are so full of shit....but dont get me wrong, I love my pair.

edit : the FW12 edition really does have waterproof riri zipper ? previous versions don't.

thanks for the info emixam. always thought the grizzly can brave all kinds of weather, though i wouldn't want to wear any of my visvim in rain tbh.
