Snoozed earlier in the year but is this a fair price or can they be got at for cheaper? Don't fancy paying a ton on a pair of vans |

i would pay it for 'hi tops' but not for slip ons for some reason, dont know why. I'd pay more for laces regardless of low / high, but I'm not a 'slip on' person. Saying that, I found three pairs of lows that I bought last christmas (JD sale shop, B'ham) that I forgot about. |

Tempted by these but the price is ridiculous. No real justification for charging £80 and nearly £20 shipping is adding insult to injury, can imagine changing my mind if I see them in the flesh though. |

They were going for around £70-£80 inc shipping from the states not so long back. Snooze you lose |

Yeah, I thought about getting a pair when they came out, worked out to just under £80 shipped B.I.N. always a chance of getting hit by customs though. |

18 shippings a joke though Just got mine. The box weighs a fucking ton. The sneaks themselves seem really top notch aswell, quite heavy compared to my normal skate hi-s. It's justified! |

What do they come with then, why are they so heavy? |

I suppose your right G_G. Maybe heavy box was something to deter resellers even, I dunno, random guess. It goes with the whole military theme w)taps have going - Heavy duty military goods (correct me if im wrong, milspex). The box is mega heavy, includes a small booklet about the vans syndicate collabs, some heavy duty dustbag which must be made out of nuke-proof blast door material, and the sneaks themselves, which weigh a ton. On a side note, they are a wee bit snug - but only a tiny bit. If i remove the insoles, will this decrease the life of the shoe in any way, during day to day wear? |

Removing the insoles shouldn't make any difference, might want to get a pair of thin leather insoles for comfort. |

Removing the insoles shouldn't make any difference, might want to get a pair of thin leather insoles for comfort. Thanks for the advice. TBH I have about 4-5 true "Hype sneaks", the rest is just cheap shit I got from TKmaxx/ JD outlet. |

i saw these in the flesh in fp today. they're definitely a nice shoe, but as was said above £80 on a pair of slip on vans is a lot of money. |
