Anyone done that Vote for Policies not Personalities survey?

Quite interesting, although I got 4 different parties from the 4 areas I chose, so not really that useful Puzzled

Not bothering to vote this time, both main parties are shit and voting for any others is a waste of time.

I'm torn between wanting exchange rates possibly getting better while i'm in the states with the tories getting in.

and thinking the tories are shit. all their future party members seem like complete cunts, somebody who wrote into the observer magazine after a feature on them got it spot on when the said they look like contestants form the apprentice.

that said labour look crap as well.

i'm probably going to wimp out and leave the country before voting is possible any way.

It annoys me how the tories have such a lead.

A) Alot their policy decisions seem very reactive - people want tax cuts! lets cut tax! People want more spending on the NHS! Increase spending! Need to keep the square mile happy! No bonus tax or anything like that.

B) Alot of their policies are actually total shite. For example their plan for Britian's future on Energy is to 'follow the Netherlands Example of decentralized power" when if you actually check the Netherlands their power generation has little to do with decentralized power production and less of which to do with green energy from decentralized power production. In short total hot air

C) George Osborne. In both of the other main parties there are very educated and experienced men in position to deal with the country coming out of one of the most turbulent times in the economic history of the UK. With the tories we have some cunt from Oxford with a History degree. Funny how his 'approximate' opposite number in America is Timothy Geithner, and consider his experience compared to Osborne's.

Having said all this I think we do need a change. But I'd rather have another term of Labour than a change to the Connies

Voting for a crook or a cunt. It's a real giant douche/turd sarnie scenario.

Living as I do in Scotland, I shall be voting Labour, if only to turf out the precariously-lodged SNP MP. Such a vote comes from my strong dislike of the SNP. I certainly wouldn't vote Labour otherwise, because I cannot for the life of me see the value of continuing this government another day in office.

Brown is abysmal.
All labour governments spend to the limit of their ability to tax and borrow, this one being no exception.
He was even borrowing money at the top of the cycle when everyone knows you should be paying it back.
He claimed to have beaten the boom bust cycle, funny thing is he has stopped claiming that!
He blames our recession on outside forces when it was caused by overheated asset values caused by his policies, hence we were the last major economy to come out of recession.
He said video games cause knife crime.
We are now one of the most indebted nations on earth, our children will be paying it off.
We are taxed approximately double the amount when Labour first came to power.
He relied on the city to power the economy. Manufacturing declined more and further than under Maggie.
He destroyed the UK pension system by taxing it to support his spending.
He supported an illegal war in Iraq.
He deprived our soldiers of vital equipment needed for combat. (Google "snatch land rover")
He introduced the tax credit system that is massively defrauded.
The Private Finance Initiative has taken billion in debt off the government books, we will still have to pay for it, at inflated prices.
He took away our Magna Carta rights with a massive expansion of police powers.

However, Cameron has the substance of a drenched tissue and his party's economic policy is, for the most part, foolhardy at best. If the Lib Dems didn't have the pathetic Clegg at the helm I think they could make serious inroads this time around. They'll get my vote, but of the realistic outcomes I mildly favour a Labour win, albeit with no enthusiasm whatsoever. I won't be too disheartened by a small Tory victory though, firstly because Cameron is a one-term PM if ever I've seen one, as his passionate love affair with the a character like Osborne shows.
