watch movie files on tv wirelessly

Im looking for something which allows me to access all my media files wirelessly from my mac/pc on a tv. Can anyone point me to the right direction?

I know it's not wireless but I got a divx dvd player with usb slot from Asda for £24 - I transfer all my files onto it via usb memory stick and voila! Slightly more work involved but it's flawless and cheap at half the price.

Problem is I dont play games and it'll just be a waste of money !
been looking at some "media centre" but not sure which one is good. can go from £80-£200+
gaz, will have a look at that. Thing is though a lot of the stuff i download are real files, and most players out there dont support the damn thing!

do you have to subcribe to anything? and can you get normal tv on it?

yeah, that one doesnt support rmvb either. anyone has apple tv can give me a bit more info on it? apple site dont seems to have much info on it
