why And? Posting an affiliate link - sets a dangerous precedent of people (other than fuk HQ) earning money from links posted. |

Can someone talk me through the process of purchasing a domain name and webspace, setting up a simple 2 or 3 page website (most likely in iWeb) and getting it published? I am totally clueless and the more i read online the more confused i get Domain will ideally have an email address attached to it i.e. info @ mydomain . com I would like to be able to pick up emails primarily on either webmail (assume hosting companies have a hotmail type environment for receiving/sending emails away from my laptop?!) or on a blackberry. Any recommendations for companies offering hosting and domains appreciated... been looking at names.co.uk Cheers |

Ok, idiot's guide Plenty of domain registration companies offer a bit of free webspace when you register your domain name. If you're talking 2 or 3 pages then the free space should be more than enough. I always use http://www.nameroute.co.uk because I've had excellent service over the years. They offer 10MB of space free. They (and most other companies) provide webmail, and also POP which allows you to set it up to download to your computer, Blackberry or whatever. Once you have your site designed in iWeb it's just a case of uploading it to the webspace using an FTP program. |

I use - www.streamline.net haven't had any problems with them at all. |
