Are yorkshire puddings a northern ting? or would you reach for them down south? never had one myself.

fail to believe this. never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever had a roast at home or been served one in a restaraunt without yorkshires, no matter wether its anglesy or scarboro or taunton.

Truth, never had a roast in a restaurant in my life, don't like roasts so wouldn't order one, and nah I'm Irish, so not really as common for roast/sunday dinner's for us!

Mash with a roast is acceptable just not all the time. Misses old dear is Irish and does roasties, boiled and mash. Asks your spud combo before serving. Cool

mash is good with a rare rib of beef, or rare lamb, not sure about with chicken though.

I do mash with horseradish mixed in with beef.

Gotta be one of the greatest simple joys in life. Coming home and opening the front door to be greeted by the smell of a roast on the go!
