Aesthetic of wear the exact same thing every day? the clothes are good but at a casual lurker (on loads of forums) I don't see the point in some of these fit pics, and then listing what each brand is. it's the same outfit by the same 5 or 6 people over and over so everybody knows the brands by now ffs. Laughing out loud

do some of you never mix it up? what about a if you have a date with a fit bird. do you turn up in XXL baggy raws, wings, a worker shirt and an old mans jacket? or what about going to the corner shop to buy milk. do you take an hour dressing up in all that like.

So basically, you also don't know what an aesthetic is as well.

Take a look back morgoth. Mil, a person with a strong personal aesthetic usually milspec'd or urahara'd up. He also posted his version of what he wore on a date. It wasn' t fuckin thom brown bro bro. But it was his aesthetic and it worked for him and what he does. Just because the occasion changes doesn't mean your aesthetic has to

You talmbout "not seeing the point" in posting "the same outfits" by "the same people" when this thread is called WHAT ARE YOU WEARING TODAY, to which the only people contributing are 5 or 6 people.

Besides who thinks "Im about to go to a date/wedding/funeral, let me snap a pic for FUK." I welcome the idea, and some have done it. But generally people wear the same shit everyday, thats why they either don't post, or do cause they got gear, THUS listing the brands

Thats all well and good, but most people on here just want to wear decent clobber and look stylish for their age/demographic and there's nothing wrong with that.

Nice one if you are "comitting" to dressing like a riveter from 1930s milwaukee every day of your life, but it doesnt make someones' posts any more relevant or worthwhile on here if they do so.

To me and others it does. Thats why they/we do it. Who is the Fuk council that decides "whats relevent or worthwhile", and to who? Thats why niggas dont post here. Peeps either got steez or they dont.

Its a general fashion forum though. There is no relevant/irrelevant.

If you only want comments from people who 'get' the aesthetic, keep it on oldtimeywaybackwhen.com/forum

Regarding how you dress mui, picture garbage cans. Cause ya shits Trash bro.

Fashion forums and threads like these are Relics, they are losing relevency by the day. Only major factor are for sell forum. Thing is, people are doing the aesthetic-y oldtimeywaybackwhen thing, its called instagram. A place where you can see styles globally without listening to commentary from know-nothing idiots who don't even have anything to contribute. WAYWT is now called a 'selfie' (ugh, I know). There is no need to read through pages of "piss takes" when I could just hashtag the shit im interested in.

Out of interest what do the other halves of the people on here who pursue an aesthetic dress like? If they arent into the same aesthetic or clothing as much does it bother you?

Nope, not for me. I'm not as full on with the aesthetic as someone like strictly, but I take some cues from that look. My wife buys her clothing from Topshop, Uniqlo etc with the odd higher end piece thrown in (usually something I've bought her) and so would be considered fairly 'normal' in her way of dressing. It doesn't really bother me as she always looks good in my eyes. Admittedly, I wouldn't mind if she got into something like Engineered Garments FWK line or a bit of CDG, but I certainly wouldn't want her to go the full 50s look or anything like that as it would be a drastic change from how she looks now.
