I'm sure some of you have seen this already as it was broadcast nearly a month ago but for those that haven't yet it's very interesting.

Looks like Rangers are going to be granted a temporary licence for the weekend.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19012042

Makes a bit of a mockery of the system - either they come to a deal or they don't.

I suppose the SPL are shit-scared of the (perceived) consequences of Rangers not playing at all this season.

Madrid vs Celtic on ITV4. Could be just my shit tv, but there’s hardly any contrast in kit colours making it impossible to watch.

Not just your TV. Female tv presenter has just asked Strachan: "what about Celtic then, it's been a really sad summer for them what with Rangers going down to the third division" Laughing out loud

Alessandro Del Piero is a target for Celtic Jawdropping!

Why do players keep signing for Rangers? Surely it would be a bit of a risky career move at this stage, even allowing for the emotional pull if the player happens to be a Rangers fan (which not all of the signings seem to be)?

Is it being sold to them on the basis of guaranteed rapid promotion to the top flight?

Its all about the money. Shiels and Black are rumoured to be on £7k a week. They'd be lucky to get half that in the SPL.

Money's obviously a big factor, but it boils down to the fact that the players signing for them aren't good enough to play for clubs with better facilities or more fans than Rangers.

Murray Park or whatever they're calling it now is I'm sure quite a nice place for a footballer to go to work, especially one who is used to training at the likes of public sport complexes.

I've got my own ideas but what does 'we are the people' mean to you?

Whilst Ulster is joking, the sad thing is that for most who chant 'we arra peepul' they have no idea why they do it and for the minority, although it's a fairly sizeable minority, they really are chanting it in some sort of white protestant supremacy bollocks.

I'm sure this will piss off/antagonise the scots but, what do you actually expect your team to do? You've sacked Levein on results while acknowledging the good work behind the scenes but it confuses me as when i look at the league and your players i don't know what more you can really ask for. Ok 2 points from 4 games isn't great but wales have better players, Belgium have far better players, serbia same. The only dodgy result was maybe Macedonia.

I think most Scotland fans are pretty realistic about how "good" we are.

Levein lost a lot of the goodwill that previously existed towards him when he played the 4-6-0 formation against the Czech Republic.

While sections of fans will always disagree with a manager's selection / tactics, there have been several instances of unfathomable decisions which on the face of it didn't make any sense.

I'm glad he's been given the push, but not too hopeful of what comes next Laughing out loud

Even at Scotland's lowest points we've been so strong at Hampden. Those first two games killed it for him (he should've went after 4-6-0 IMO).
We've been competitive before with Championship players, now we have a reasonably decent team with "premiership stars" and we've went backwards, he had to go.
