Why does everybody on here cuss out anyone who wears anything a bit 'different' and call 'em Barleys...?

ESPECIALLY you Noble Eye-wink

I've just never understood why people on here aren't a bit more open minded about fashion.

I don't care what people wear, as long as they look like they've made an effort and put some thought in. If I ever see anyone looking a bit nuts I always think "Fuck it, power to 'em". People on here just seem to dig them out all the time.

Just wondering.

I think a barley is actually the opposite to this isnt it...i'd put it down as people who jump on the latest trends.

you are so fucking wide of the mark its untrue...i aint even gonna give you the satisfaction of enlightening your brain...but i never call people 'barley' for being different, thats the whole fucking point my man...its for being the same and liking what you percieve by others or have been told is cool mister.

runs off to straighten his sheagmah abd listen to daft punk , de la soul and new order on his ipod , and watching the peep show with subtitles on my psp, whilst putting away his clear glass white specs in his visvim rucksack thats empty apart from some banksy postcards.

To add to what Noble and Friend have said I would also consider 'Barley' anything Ironic. Anything thats so naff and shit that in fact it is actually cool. No its not cool its still shit.

No disrespect here, because as far as I can tell he seems canny and he's only young, but the greatest current example of a 'Barley' is Jack - Visvims and APC in the post, this place has seriously changed him.

to be fair tho, it has that effect on 90% of everyone who ever posts here regularly mate. and me so included in that.
in fact, you even had people from here paying you money for stuff to make them look exactly how you wanted them too. if that aint 'nathanism' then smoke me a kipper. Laughing out loud

That is very true. Ive been seriously enlightened by this site, and have made several (though expensive) purchases which i am sure have benifited my wardrobe, and appearance.

I know this place has changed me, I take my fashion advice from this place, I 100% guarentee that without here, I'd never of bought Visvims or APC's, but having seen them on here and seeing how they look good, I like them.

Best explaination of it I thought was with "my mate fuk", if I had a fashion concious mate who wore APC, Visvim, Dior, I'd take fashion tips from them, instead of the fashion minded people on here.

This I get. 1000% agree. I was thinking about was when White Trash posted up his pic with the rolled up trousers. I'm pretty certain there were shouts of 'Barley' going about then and he wasn't following a trend, he was doing something a bit 'different'.

Do you not see where I'm coming from?
