What are my best bets for a warm waterproof jacket for the winter? Arcteryx/Acronym or is there anything slightly cheaper around 400-600? |

Worth giving Nanamica a look. |

Depends on the style you are after. |

/\ Exactly, you're looking for a 'warm' waterproof jacket, but what you've listed are really just shells. Keep you dry, and prolly windproof, but not too warm. If you want tech material but also warm Isaora might be doing something this coming season, if you're into the aesthetic. Otherwise something wool/coated cotton that'll keep you dry enough, which will be damn near anything on offer. If you're into the black, minimal vibe of Arc and Acr (wow, that's weird) some of the forthcoming w+h are dark and clean, some not. Ditto Nanamica. Krane will have that military vibe as well, a little more fussy detail-wise, but that shit is lined with blankets. Like bad ass duvet armour. |

yellowpages, tml is right, both arc'teryx veilance and acronym are predominately shells with the a/w collections usually being wind and water proof so to keep warm you'll need a insulator or a chunky knit will do. veilance did produce some wool coats last winter and a insulated field and no doubt will do so again this coming season. stone island shadow project (same designers as acronym, headed by errolson hugh) will have some tech wool coats this a/w and if you're after a shell watch out for herno again designed by errolson hugh. |

Nice one, cheers for the advice troops. I know Arc/Acr stuff is mostly shell based but saw that insulated field jacket and thought their might be more of that style (but not 800 quid). Will check out what Nanamica have on offer for AW12 as I've liked their previous stuff, and will make sure to check out the other recommendations. |

Sandro and Carven should both have shops over here. Reckon they would do well/take away business from Apc. |
